Parent Volunteers

Parent Volunteers

Parents are invited to play an important role in their children’s education by volunteering to help in the classroom by contributing a special talent such as offering information on a hobby or area of interest, noon-hour sports activities, assisting with special projects, offering assistance on field trips and special activities and food program delivery.  We always need more volunteers for the library and reading groups in the classroom!

It is the Western Quebec School Board’s practice to request criminal background checks for all volunteers who are involved with students at our school, i.e. field trips, classroom activities, etc.  If you plan on volunteering, ask your child’s teacher to provide you with a criminal background check form at the beginning of the school year.  Complete the form in full, indicate that you are a “volunteer” at “South Hull School” (bottom of page 1), sign and date it, and return it to the teacher promptly.  The office will forward the form to the WQSB and there is no charge for this process.  Your clearance for volunteering will be valid for two consecutive years.
